Target Optical $35 insurance is bogus
I have used target optical for the past 3 years, and have always purchased their optional insurance plan. The first time I used it my glasses were replaced without having to return the glasses.
Last year I purchased a pair of Coach frames with progressive lenses. Unfortunately the frame is stretches and I have to have them tightened so I can see out of them properly. I go to the Target optical near my home on Staten Island in Charleston. since they no longer carry that frame, I figured I can use them as my spare pair and I would be able to get another pair using the target plan.
This time I was told I have to give back the glasses in order to get another pair. I felt I was misinformed and after reading the plan there is nothing saying the glasses have to be returned if they are unable to be repaired. This has definitely made me rethink getting glasses at Target again.
The reason Target glasses are a little less expensive is because the quality of their lenses and frames are not up to par with the most advanced technology. I will now shop elsewhere for my glasses.
Reason of review: Warranty issue.
